Nashville, TN, September 19, 2006 - On the heels of its success writing and producing the high profile “It‘s A New Day, Today” promotional theme song for NBC‘s “Today,” 615 Music is extending its work on behalf of that top rated morning show by customizing the song for local markets. 615 Music is one of America‘s preeminent Production Music companies and providers of original/custom, library and production music for television networks and programs, feature films, radio, commercials, on-air promos, interactive applications and multi-media clients. 615 Music President and CEO Randy Wachtler made the announcement.

The promotional theme song entitled “It‘s a New Day, Today” has been airing nationally on NBC since Summer 2006 and has been promoting the “post Katie Couric era” of “Today” and the fact that Meredith Vieira has now joined as co-anchor. The music was written by Greg Barnhill and Randy Wachtler of 615 Music. “Frank Radice, Sr. VP of Marketing for NBC, was incredibly helpful in coming up with a great title and creative direction for this song. As I‘ve said before, Frank‘s one of the most musical TV executives I‘ve ever worked with,” said Wachtler.
