ROGER Designs, Animates and Produces Graphics Package for Nick’s new “ME TV”
Los Angeles, CA, February 27, 2007 - Roger, a broadcast, advertising and design studio founded by Creative Directors Vasil Hnatiuk, Terence Lee and Mark Yamamoto, has delivered a major graphics package for Nickelodeon‘s new “ME TV” programming block. In addition, Roger is the recent recipient of the “Newcomer of the Year Award” presented at INSPIRE 07. Hnatiuk, Lee and Yamamoto jointly made the announcements.
ABOUT THE ME TV GRAPHICS PACKAGE:
Roger designed, animated and produced the new show package for ME TV, which visually melds stop motion, 2-D and 3-D animation. Roger worked closely with Nickelodeon‘s On-Air Design Department, and developed the concept of kids building many versions of the logo out of everyday objects. Roger‘s concept ultimately influenced all aspects of the show itself- from its open and on-air promotion, to the show‘s actual set, music, and website. Roger‘s Creative Director Terence Lee said, “Nickelodeon is a fantastic client to collaborate with. The Nick team asked us to create the ME TV package from the perspective of how kids see the world. We took that as an opportunity to get our hands really dirty! We also drew inspiration from the classic Nick shows we grew up watching, ‘You Can‘t Do That On Television,‘ ‘Double Dare and ‘Ren + Stimpy.‘”
Launched on Feb. 20th, Nickelodeon’s ME TV is a new, live, interactive programming block that features kid/user generated content and airs daily from 5-7 pm. Hosted live from New York City by Alexandra Gizela and Jordan Carlos, Nickelodeon’s ME TV wraps around the network’s regular program line-up, includes a studio audience, features several kids each day live via webcam, and also showcases kid created original content. Additionally, ME TV incorporates online voting, interactive gaming, giveaways and celebrity guests. Nickelodeon UK launched its own version of ME TV in Fall 2006.

Through exposure to the groundbreaking and influential work shared, participants were inspired to achieve even greater enthusiasm and creativity in their work.
