Harris Corporation Announces HD Radio™ Transmission Sale To Greater Media

CINCINNATI/PHILADELPHIA, March 29, 2007 — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, announced that Greater Media radio station WJJZ-FM in Philadelphia has purchased two Harris HD Radio™ transmitters and FlexStar® equipment for multicasting, which allows radio stations to broadcast supplementary channels (HD-2, HD-3, etc.) alongside their main channel programming. Installation is targeted for completion later this spring.


The complete HD Radio™ solution for WJJZ-FM includes two Harris ZX2000™ low-power transmitters with Tri-Mode capability for HD Radio™, analog FM, and hybrid broadcasting; and the complete FlexStar® family of HD Radio™ products (HDI-100 Importer, HDE-100 Exporter, and HDx exciter). Both the main and backup ZX2000™ transmitters will be outfitted with the Harris® WEB Remote™ module for remote control and monitoring, and a Harris main/alternate controller for seamless switching between the two transmitters. The entire package will be delivered in two completely integrated rack systems enabling a quick and simple installation.
