Sound Lounge lends its sound design and mix talent to the team at Glamour and Clinique for their Reel Moments short films series directed by Hollywood actresses interested in their directorial debuts, and based on personal essays by readers. Kate Hudson makes her frosh effort with Cutlass, a generational tale about family and tradition. With sound design by Marshall Grupp, and mix by Philip Loeb and Cory Melious, the short film co-stars Kurt Russell, Dakota Fanning, Virginia Madsen, Chevy Chase and Kristen Stewart. The goal of the competition, now in its third year, is to empower women by producing female-friendly short films creating opportunities for females to direct.

Philip Loeb weighs in on the effort, “This was a truly collaborative project; four to five people split up the work. We reached out to different divisions of Sound Lounge including the Advertising Department, Sound Design/Foley, and the Entertainment Divisions.” Further solidifying Sound Lounge‘s new precedent on how long form projects will be orchestrated in the future. Cory Melious adds, “We want the Advertising community to recognize it‘s not just a spot-shop, here.” Sound Lounge is able to bring a creative, innovative aspect to projects while working with talent who have been in the business for a long time. Marshall Grupp commented, “This cross company team effort truly lends itself to feeling connected to the work and everyone within the company.”
