Joe Fernando joins as VP of DVD Sales and Larry Spangler comes on board as VP of Digital Media Services

Post Logic Studios, a division of Prime Focus Group, announced the addition of two new hires, Joe Fernando as VP of DVD Sales and Larry Spangler as VP of Digital Media Services. The additions come as Post Logic, a full service post-production and digital intermediate (DI) company, is expanding its DVD and Digital Services Department. This announcement comes on the heels of Post Logic’s acquisition by Prime Focus Group, a global leader in visual effects and post-production with facilities across India, the UK and North America.

Both new hires expressed enthusiasm over joining Post Logic Studios. “I’m very excited about building up a division and team to service all studio digital services, from DVD to Blu-Ray, downloadable film formats and more,” explained Spangler.

Joe Fernando comes to Post Logic having spent three years at Ritek Global Media/MRT Technology as VP of Sales and Marketing. During his tenure there he directed sales, marketing, planning and staffing for the $500 million DVD manufacturer also overseeing clients such as Columbia Tri-Star, Fox Home Entertainment, MGM and Image Entertainment. Prior to Ritek, Fernando spent six years as DVD and Marketing Specialist for Time Warner Inc.’s WEA/Warner Advance Media Operations. While he was with WEA, he oversaw technical sales and marketing plans for manufacturing and merchandising music CDs and DVD titles. He has also held positions with AST Computer, Photo & Sound Company and IBM.

Larry Spangler joins Post Logic after a 13-year run at LaserPacific Media Corporation as Vice President, Digital Media Services. While at LaserPacific, Spangler oversaw a team of over twenty encoding technicians, authors, project managers and QC personnel who created DVDs for major studio clientele including Artisan, Disney, Fox, HBO, MGM, Miramax, Morgan Creek, New Line, Paramount, Sony Pictures, Tristar, Universal and The Weinstein Company. Prior to LaserPacific, he worked as VP, Worldwide Technical Support for Optical Disc Corporation. He established his career in digital media services with positions at LaserEdit and Compact Video. Spangler is a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE).
