Festival Seeks Features, Shorts and Music Videos For 4th Annual Event

Los Angeles, CA & Tucson, AZ — (May 15, 2008) – The Tucson Film & Music Festival has announced its official Call for Entries for the 4th Annual festival, to be held in Tucson, Arizona in the Fall of 2008. The Tucson Film & Music Festival is a weekend-long event featuring music-related content, and showcasing films and filmmakers with a connection to Arizona or the Southwest. Tucson Film & Music Festival accepts documentaries, narrative features, shorts, and music videos.

Now in its fourth year, the Tucson Film & Music Festival boasts an attendance of over 1,500 filmgoers and has showcased several Arizona and World premiere screenings from filmmakers like Allison Anders (Gas, Food, Lodging), Jonathan Pulley (Move Me; Sundance 2007) and Dan Vinick (Spun). The music festival has featured over 100 bands including Calexico, Fishbone, Doo Rag, Friends of Dean Martinez, John Doe, The New Drakes, Kirsten Hersh, Giant Sand and more!

Call for Entries:

TFMF is accepting features (50 minutes or more), short films (20 minutes or less), and music videos (10 minutes or less) for festival screening. Entrants must send a completed, signed entry form with each submission, which is available online at www.tucsonfilmandmusicfestival.com or www.withoutabox.com. Only works completed after January 1, 2006 are eligible for TFMF 2008. Projects must be submitted for consideration on NTSC DVD (Region 0/1 only) or VHS.

Early Entry Fee: $25 for Shorts & Music Videos; $35 for Features.
