Principal photography has begun on feature film 44 Inch Chest, produced by Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin (Babel, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Being John Malkovich) and independent producer Richard Brown. Anonymous’ Dave Morrison and Paul Green will serve as executive producers. The film will be directed by Anonymous Content’s Malcolm Venville who makes his feature debut. Sexy Beast writers Louis Mellis and David Scinto penned the pic.

A powerful and explosive drama of retribution, starring Ray Winstone (Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Departed, Sexy Beast), Ian McShane (Sexy Beast, Deadwood), John Hurt (Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, V for Vendetta), Tom Wilkinson (Michael Clayton, Batman Begins), Stephen Dillane (King Arthur, The Hours), Joanne Whalley (The Man Who Knew Too Little, Scandal), and Melvil Poupaud (Speed Racer, Broken English).

Colin Diamond (Ray Winstone) is in agony, shattered by the bombshell of his wife’s infidelity with a young French waiter. His motley crew of friends - Old Man Peanut, Meredith, Archie, and Mal - kidnap Loverboy, and assemble a kangaroo court so that Colin can restore his manhood with revenge. A very bumpy night ensues for Loverboy whose life is at stake as Colin wrestles with heartbreak, anger, madness, love and gargantuan self-pity.

Producer Richard Brown comments: “Louis and David’s brilliantly dark and funny script has attracted an extraordinary ensemble of actors and Malcolm Venville is the perfect director to bring it to life. We think we have the elements in place for a remarkable and compelling film.”

Prescience Film Finance, Anonymous Content and Twilight Production & Entertainment Corporation are financing the picture. IM Global is handling worldwide sales, with Alliance Films releasing the film through their international distribution network - Momentum (UK), Aurum (Spain) and Alliance (Canada).

The film will shoot for seven weeks on location in East London and at Elstree Studios.
