Addictive TV to Remix the Olympics Live
Trail-blazers in the art of audio/video remixing, the last four years have seen Addictive TV twice crowned #1 VJs in the World by the readers of DJ Magazine, and twice placed second. Praised by the likes of Jeff Mills, Grandmaster Flash, Stereo MC’s and film-maker Peter Greenaway, Addictive TV are a total audiovisual experience driven by their fast-paced movie remixes and video mash-ups.
Boldly going where no live television has gone before, Addictive TV’s next challenge will be to remix live feeds from the Beijing Olympics in real time for Austrian State Broadcaster ORF. The project takes place in Vienna at ORF’s studios, where Addictive TV will be live remixing as part of the channel’s interactive services during the Beijing Games. For up to five hours a day, exclusively on the 16th and 17th August, Addictive TV will have their own live channel that viewers will receive during the 2008 Olympics. This project is a real first for television, and certainly for the Olympics!
Co-incidently, they’ve also created a video installation called ‘Sportive’ for the Adidas “Gongzhen - Art in Sport” touring exhibition for the 2008 Games which is currently on display at the Today Art Museum in Beijing, having exhibited in seven cities across China since November last year.

Playing festivals and clubs all over the planet, from Japan to Brazil, Sweden to Saudi Arabia, the dynamic duo have blown away audiences in over 40 countries now. In a recent review of their set at SXSW in Texas, US music magazine Paste wrote “Addictive TV completely blew my mind! …a compelling pop culture audio/visual avalanche!”
Next gig for the dynamic Addictive TV duo is their large annual outdoor party at London’s National Theatre on Friday August 22nd, projecting on the massive 25 metre flytower, visible right across the Thames. Last year, the London Evening Standard chose the event as one of it’s Top 5 gigs to see that weekend and Time Out in their preview said “make sure you get there before 10pm, because their show really does stop traffic!”.
Other upcoming dates include Liverpool for the Capital of Culture celebrations (Sept. 20th), Derby for the launch of Quad - the UK’s new media centre and BFI archive (Sept. 27th), and also in Geneva, Paris, Moscow, Shanghai and Mumbai in Indian for New Year’s Eve. Addictive TV will certainly bombard your senses when they kick-start their mixers!
