Reciting Margaret Mead’s quote, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has,” celebrities such as Blake Lively, Susan Sarandon, Anne Hathaway, Kate Walsh, Carla Gugino, Penn Bagley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Samuel L. Jackson, Barry Levinson, and Josh Lucas (among many others) also share personal statements and antidotes on the importance of voting.

“It was just so great to be a part of something that has such a powerful and relevant message,â€? says Hollander. “Sue Kramer and I have worked together before and she always has such a clear idea of what she wants, which makes it easy. Dana Parish and I had the song finished and recorded in a couple of days and then the whole thing was done before we knew it.”

“Editing the YouVote piece was a great experience,â€? concludes Ziegler. “I knew the moment I spoke with Sue Kramer that the film would have great energy. As soon as I saw the footage she captured, I knew we had a piece that would be full of life. If it gets someone to vote that wouldn’t have otherwise, that would be the best reward for making the video.”

The video was made possible with a grant from Paul Mitchell Hair Systems.
