Addictive TV launch solo exhibition @ ADE + Max Payne remix

Constantly criss-crossing both the club world and contemporary arts scene, top audiovisual artists Addictive TV are presenting a month long solo exhibition called HIGH FIVE at Concrete Image in Amsterdam which will be launched at the Amsterdam Dance Event 2008.

Five screens and five audiovisual remixes, the HIGH FIVE exhibition transports you into the tripped-out headspace of audiovisual heros Addictive TV, inviting you to become absorbed into the artists domain of what you see is what you hear. Described by the US electronic culture magazine XLR8R as “Light years beyond the gallery realm of masters like Bill Viola” London based artists Addictive TV are known for their cutting-edge audio/video remixes and dynamic live shows, which have seen them twice voted number 1 VJs in the world by the readers of DJ Magazine.

As well as performing at the Amsterdam Dance Event on October 25th, Addictive TV will also be giving a talk on the same day, called “Everything from A to V - the World according to Addictive TV”. More info at: www.amsterdam-dance-event.nl

On the film remixing front, Addictive TV have just remixed the new Hollywood action movie “Max Payne” for 20th Century Fox, it’s the first movie based on the successful Max Payne series of computer games and stars Mark Wahlberg in the title role as Max. They’ve also just remixed the sharp-witted comedy “Easy Virtue” starring Colin Firth and Kristin Scott-Thomas for British movie powerhouse Ealing Studios and distributors Pathé.

Meticulously sampling everything from Hollywood movies to concert footage, music videos to sports events, Addictive TV’s intensely detailed style has seen them create diverse work for the likes of Adidas, Paramount Pictures and the British Film Institute. In 2006 they became the first artists to officially remix a Hollywood studio movie when they created the award-winning web viral for New Line Cinema’s “Take the Lead” starring Antonio Banderas, and this year became the first to remix the Olympics live for television, when they took part in a major EU funded and IOC sanctioned project looking at new forms of television.
