PostWorks Appoints Domenic Rom to SVP/General Manager for New York Post-Production Services
NYC Post Veteran Also to Retain Role as Chief Operating Officer for PostWorks’ Lab
NEW YORK - Digital motion picture and post-production company PostWorks (www.postworks.com) today announced that Domenic Rom, who has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PostWorks’ lab since its acquisition by PostWorks three years ago, has been appointed to the newly created position of SVP/General Manager of Post-Production Services for PostWorks’ main New York facility in Soho. The announcement was made by PostWorks’ President and COO Rob DeMartin, and is effective immediately.
Rom is a 28-year New York City post-production veteran whose groundbreaking work with Unitel, Duart, Sekani and Moving Images - as well as his proactive membership with the Association of Cinema and Video Laboratories – has earned the respect of filmmakers worldwide. Under his direction, since its launch in 2002, The Lab has offered processing services to a great many high-profile film, television and commercial projects. Most pertinent to his new role at PostWorks was Rom’s time at Duart from 1997 to 2002, where he served as Executive Vice President. Responsibilities under Rom’s SVP/General Manager title at PostWorks include managing operational aspects in Soho related to telecine, color correction, online editorial, DI, digital media, duplication and fulfillment.
