Mama Shelter is the new lifestyle hotel brand from the Trigano family, the creators of ClubMed, and Cyril Aouizerate, founder of Urbantech. Since a main attribute of Mama Shelter is its inclusive feel, ROKKAN gave Mama Shelter’s home page a distinct community feeling: It’s always offering fresh content from a calendar of classes, concerts, and lectures to local weather updates in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. Visitors can create personal accounts and subscribe to the online newsletter, immediately becoming a part of the Mama Shelter community.
A customized booking tool appears on every page. Navigation tags are marked “Mama,” “Sleep,” “Eat,” and “Play,” and creative imagery that’s unique and fresh adds to an experience that’s smart, comfortable, and friendly. True to Mama Shelter’s international identity, the site is accessible in both French and English.
MamaShelter.com was developed on Rokkit, a proprietary framework ROKKAN used to meet a major goal of the hotel: Make it simple for Mama Shelter to offer content that’s relevant and fresh, without unnecessary options. Built entirely in HTML, the site is extremely friendly to search engines, another major goal of the new brand.
“It was challenging to balance making content manageable and meeting the design goals, especially because the website accommodates more than one language,” said Akeem Philbert, Senior Developer. “The development team paid particular attention to making it easy to enter content in both French and English.”
