BLUE ROOM WELCOMES ASSOCIATE PRODUCER GRACE KIM
Blue Room NYC (www.blueroomnyc.com), the award-winning creative services agency, welcomes Associate Producer Grace Kim, it was announced today by CEO/Executive Producer Chris Gargani.
Kim comes to Blue Room from CNBC (Englewood Cliffs, NJ) where, as the network’s first Associate Producer for On-Air Promotions, she wore numerous hats producing and writing topical promos for The Suze Orman Show and Closing Bell and generic and topical promos for Flipping Out; editing re-airing promos; helping to manage the daily production schedule; assisting in the design of end pages and the open for Flipping Out; tagging promos for re-air; and recording voice over sessions with talent, among many other responsibilities.
Grace Kim cut her teeth in the industry working with a number of New York-based companies including NBC Universal as a Page; Production Assistant at Radioakitve Film where she worked with the directors and producers of Quad Squad and Hatchet; and Edisonian Studios where she was third camera for wedding videography and photo shoots, and also lighting assistant.
“Grace is going to have a really bright future here at Blue Room. Her experience and qualifications for this position far exceeded my expectations… and to top it off, she has a personality that’s going to make her a superstar in this industry,” explained CEO/Executive Producer Chris Gargani.
On joining the Blue Room family Grace Kim asdded, “The team here is remarkably creative and I am sure that working with them will challenge my managerial and organizational skills and my creative and artistic talents.”
Kim earned her BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design (Providence, RI) in Film, Animation and Video supported by a RISD academic scholarship, a Virginia Lynch Scholarship for Artistic Diversity, and a Tiffany Rosen Scholarship for Film/Video Production. While at RISD, she was an Intermediate Video Teacher’s Assistant and interned in the On-Air Promotions department at MTV Networks (New York, NY).
Grace Kim, 25, is married and makes her home in Hackensack, NJ.
