Las Vegas, NV (April 20, 2009) – Chroma key specialist, Reflecmedia, today introduced its new Deskshoot Lite chroma key bundle at NAB 2009. The new Deskshoot Lite bundle comprises an 8ft x 8ft Chromatte™ Curtain, small or medium LiteRing, controller and power supply, all for under $1,500.
Reflecmedia designed the new highly-affordable Deskshoot Lite bundle to open the world of chroma key to just about anyone. The included 8ft x 8ft piece of Reflecmedia’s revolutionary Chromatte fabric is ideal for users who don’t require a full-size background for chroma key production, including schools, churches, small businesses and amateur videographers. Chromatte is an innovative fabric designed specifically for use as a background for chroma key production. Unlike conventional chroma key fabrics that are usually blue or green in color, Chromatte is grey to the eye in ambient light. The fabric contains millions of tiny glass beads that act as reflectors, directing any light - such as the directional light from Reflecmedia’s lens-mounted LiteRing – back into the camera’s lens. This retro-reflective process means the camera ‘sees’ the apparently grey fabric as a perfectly even blue or green background.
Available in blue or green and either small or medium sizes, the LiteRing features Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) that are arranged in a circular casing positioned in front of the camera lens. This provides all the light required to illuminate the Chromatte background for chroma key production.
