Los Angeles, CA / Boston, MA - The organizers of the Second Annual Amsterdam FCPUG SuperMeet have announced an agenda “sneak peak” for the SuperMeet, to be held on Sunday, 13 September 2009 at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam, Netherlands during the same week of the IBC2009 trade show.

“Two weeks ago Apple announced the latest version of Final Cut Studio,” said Daniel Berube, SuperMeet co-producer and head of the Boston Final Cut Pro User Group (bosfcpug). “And of course we are going to show it off. We intend to devote much of the 2nd half of the show to the new features in Final Cut Pro 7. We believe this will be the only event during the week of IBC 2009 where Final Cut Studio users in Europe can get up close and personal with the new FCS.”

“We’ve invited FCP Co-Creator Michael Wohl to show off FCP 7,” added Michael Horton SuperMeet co-producer and head of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (lafcpug).  Michael is one of the worlds foremost experts on Final Cut Pro. He has not only been there from FCP’s beginning, but Michael has written training books for Peachpit Press as well as produced training videos for macprovideo.com. He is also a fine editor and filmmaker. Who better to show off the new Final Cut Pro than Michael Wohl?”

“We also plan to hold an interactive panel discussion between Final Cut Studio experts and the audience,” added Berube. Our intention, should all go well, will be to answer people’s questions and concerns on the new Final Cut Studio as well as listen to their feedback.”

In addition to the new Final Cut Studio, there will also be user-driven presentations from Blackmagic Design, Adobe, JVC and, time permitting, show and tells from EU filmmakers.

SuperMeets provide the post production and broadcast community an opportunity to not only learn about the latest technology trends, but to connect with each other to discuss experiences and opportunities within the industry in a social setting that is both educational and fun. The user-driven format offers engaging presentations and training by community members and industry technologists. Equally popular are the presentations from community member videographers and filmmakers.

The Second Annual Amsterdam SuperMeet will also host an “FCP Showcase” with over 25 exhibitors from around the world. Attendees will have an opportunity to engage one on one with leading manufacturers about the latest innovations for post production and broadcast markets as well as about the new features in Final Cut Studio.

Rounding out the evening will be the always wild “World Famous Raffle” where thousands of Euros worth of prizes will be handed out to dozens of lucky winners. Food (snacks) and drinks will be available throughout the evening.

Tickets are now available for purchase online only for €15.00 Euros each for adults and €10.50 Euros each for students. Doors open at 16:30 pm for the FCP Showcase. Presentations begin at 19:00 and continue until 23:30. This SuperMeet promises to be the single largest gathering of Final Cut Pro users, Gurus and digital filmmakers in Europe this year.
