NASHVILLE, TN — Protech Integration selected Adtec Digital’s signEdjeâ„¢ for high definition playout in the recently launched night show at the Tower of David Museum in Jerusalem. The installation creates a display of light and sound projecting on the walls, ruins, bridges and pathways of the recently restored Citadel.
Protech Integration was the leading integrator, in-charge of all technical aspects including project management, system design, installation and ongoing maintenance. The project required construction of two weatherproof, air conditioned projection rooms, a fiber optic network, and two control rooms. The show is a combination of artistic techniques including giant sound and projection systems that work together to create a powerful experience.
Eli Geffen, CEO of Protech Integration, chose Adtec’s signEdjeâ„¢ HD digital media player for the project because it is highly reliable and offers robust features. The signEdjeâ„¢ allows external control and supports synchronized playout across multiple channels, two features essential to this installation.

The signEdjeâ„¢ is a high definition digital media player that supports MPEG 4 AVC/H.264 and MPEG 2 high and standard definition file playout and IP stream decoding. The signEdjeâ„¢ supports high definition resolutions up to 1080i60.

The Tower of David Museum of the History of Jerusalem details the major events in the history of the city and its significance to three religions. Additionally, the museum stages temporary exhibitions which integrate the unique location and majesty of the ancient Citadel and its history with a contemporary presentation of artistic and historical issues.
