NORTHERN LIGHTS POST TAKES THIRD IN AICE CAMP KULESHOV CONTEST

NEW YORK, NY – NORTHERN LIGHTS POST (www.nlpedit.com) Assistant Editor Jacob Condon won third place in the annual Camp Kuleshov contest (http://aicetoo.org/nyck2009/), formerly known as Trailer Park, for his spy thriller mash-up trailer of 1989’s film “Field of Dreamsâ€? starring Kevin Costner and 1978’s “Supermanâ€?, starring Gene Hackman.
The annual genre-bending challenge, sponsored by the Association of Independent Creative Editors (www.aice.org), is only open to member company Assistant Editors. Their assignment is to concept and execute a completely new take on old film classics and create a :90 second trailer that promotes the films in a new light. Either switching the genre or creating a mash-up of two films.
Mr. Condon’s cut beat out over 30 other entries.
This is the fourth time that Northern Lights contestants have placed at the annual genre-bending conference. Including Scott Rankin’s first place win in 2006 with his reinterpretation of “Cocktail as a Bollywood musical.
