March 7, 2008 - New York, NY –- The multi-faceted design team, MK12, have found themselves in a position to grace the silver screen with their clever animated styling. At the request of director Marc Forster, they have been asked to create the title sequence for the The Kite Runner, which was recently nominated for a 2007 Academy Award (Original Score). The sequence is rich with layers of calligraphic Arabic script and forms a deep, abstracted vision of line and form. Accompanied by he score created by Alberto Iglesias, the opening sequence is quite indicative of the rich, textured culture and heritage of Afghanistan. more
