Omneon Digital Platform Supports Consolidated Operation of Four Broadcasters Under One Prof-Media Umbrella

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — May 5, 2009 — Omneon Inc. today announced that Prof-Media Business Solutions (PMBS), a major Russian-based diversified media holding group, has consolidated playout for four television broadcasters — TV3, 2×2, MTV Russia, and VH1 Russia — into a single, fully automated facility that relies on an Omneon digital platform. PMBS’ new Moscow facility is one of the first in Russia to implement a file-based, fully tapeless workflow. TV3 and 2×2 began broadcasting last December while MTV and VH1 are scheduled to start broadcasting from the new complex in May. more
