HSL Goes Massive Again

Says HSL project manager Mike Oates, “It’s great to be working with Robin and Production Manager James Baseley and Tour Manager Dave Lawrence and their team again. Massive Attack have been one of the UK’s most influential and creative bands over the last 2 decades, and their live productions are always inventive and interesting. This one is no exception”. more

XL Video on Coldplay

The equipment included high and medium resolution LED screens, Catalyst and Hippotizer digital media servers plus control, spherical projection system, cameras and IMAG PPU and 17 crew. more

PSI Goes To The White Sapphire Ball

psi-white-sapphire-ball-1a.jpg Belfast based lighting rental company Production Services Ireland (PSI) supplied all lighting and crew to the White Sapphire Ball, a high profile gala charity event in aid of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, staged at the Europa Hotel in Belfast.

Asked onboard by event organiser, actress and local celebrity Séainín Brennan, PSI was challenged with a brief of creating something original with a high WOW factor for the occasion, which featured entertainment from the cast of Riverdance and other leading theatrical productions for the 400 VIP audience. more

HSL & Stereophonics are Kings of Cardiff Castle

HSL supplied all lighting for the Stereophonics incendiary homecoming show at Cardiff Castle, Wales, UK last weekend - including 8 of the new Robe ROBIN 300E Beam moving lights, which made their UK show debut, specified by LD Tim Routledge.

The gig celebrated the band’s forthcoming album “Keep Calm & Carry On”, and Routledge was asked to light this and a warm-up gig at the Electric Ballroom in London following a TV special he designed for them last year at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, for which he won a Welsh BAFTA Award. more

E/T/C London Creates new ‘Europa’ for Rheinpartie Festival of Light

E/T/C London’s Ross Ashton was invited to create a video projection art work on the amazing Germania statue located in the Niederwald Landscape Park, near Rüdesheim am Rhein, Hesse, Germany, as part of the 2009 Rheinpartie Festival of Light.

Ashton’s carefully crafted mix of colour and precision lighting transformed the imposing 38 metre tall monument, built to commemorate the foundation of the German Empire after the Franco Prussian war in 1883, into a symbol of European peace and harmony. more

E/T/C London’s Ross Ashton’s projection work “Palimpsest” is one of the key installations at the 2009 Pittsburgh Festival of Lights.

Ashton was commissioned to produce a special projection show for the festival by Marguerite Jarrett Marks, a curator and organiser of the Festival on behalf of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. more

E/T/C London Projects for Rockestra - Malta’s largest live indoor event

President Abela is the patron of the charity, the largest on the island … and with an enthusiastic audience of 12,000 packing into the Malta Conference and Convention Centre (MFCC), this was the largest ever indoor event to date on the island. more

E/T/C London is once again supplying spectacular 90 metre wide large format projections for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.


It’s the fifth consecutive year that the company has been involved in this high profile event, and the second year that the projection canvas has been increased from 60 to 90 metres wide - following the great success of the widescreen style last year. This extended area stretches the full width of Edinburgh Castle’s walls at the far end of the Esplanade/arena, forming a dramatic backdrop to the performance space. more
