Palace Digital Studios Tapped for

South Norwalk, CT–Palace Digital Studios handled the final audio mix and sweetening, legalizing and color correction for the four-part series “Quintessential,” airing on The Learning Channel. A preview of the first episode aired May 21. The entire series is scheduled for broadcast late in 2007, airing over four consecutive weeks.


Palace‘s Audio Engineer Chris Nelson did the audio mixing and sweetening and Online Editor David Russell did the legalizing and color correction. more

Palace Produces Award-winning HD Video on Sculpture Park

Grounds For Sculpture, a 35-acre sculpture park outside Princeton, New Jersey, commissioned Palace Production Center to produce a high-definition promotional video for the park‘s visitor center.


Palace shot HD photography to showcase the art while providing an overview. Editing and digital audio finishing was completed at Palace Digital Studios. The 15-minute video won two 2007 Telly‘s, one for non-broadcast cultural programming and one for outstanding videography/cinematography. Palace is completing an hour-long documentary about the park for broadcast later this year. more

Rabbit Ears Entertainment to Release New Title Narrated by John Cleese

Rabbit Ears Entertainment‘s first new title in a decade, Tom Thumb, narrated by John Cleese with music by Elvis Costello, is due out in 2007 as a book, a hi-def DVD/video and digitally recorded audiobook. The long-awaited addition to the Rabbit Ears series of classic storybooks is in production at Palace Production Center.


Rabbit Ears re-introduced its entire catalog as audiobooks with Random House‘s Listening Library and Starbucks and plans to launch direct sales of videos/DVDs and books through www.rabbitears.com later this year. more

Docere Palace Studios Wins Top Telly and Aurora Best of Show for Documentary

Docere Palace Studios produced “Wings of Madness,” an award-winning, hour long documentary broadcast on the PBS NOVA series last November and now in international distribution. Docere Palace’s production won the top 2007 Telly award for documentary TV programs and the Platinum-Best of Show Aurora Award for documentary/biography.


Program tells the story of Brazilian-born aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, the spiritual father of aviation. In the early 1900s, Santos built and flew the first practical dirigibles and was the first to fly an airplane in Europe. The show uses CGI and live action shot in France and Brazil to re-create historic moments, rare movie archive of original flights as well as new footage of the recent building and test flight of a replica of Santos-Dumont’s 14 bis, which in 1906 made the first powered airplane flight in Europe. Docere Palace Studios is a co-venture of Palace Production Center and Docere Digital Studios. more

Palace Produces White House Conference Video

Palace Production Center produced the award-winning video used to open the December 2006 White House Summit on Malaria in Washington, D.C. The video features Palace Digital Studios’s AfterEffects computer animation digitally composited with archival material, powerful imagery of families affected by malaria and compelling interviews shot on location in South Africa and the U.S. Narrated by “Grey‘s Anatomy” star Isaiah Washington, “The Gift of Growing Up” has been distributed worldwide to help raise awareness and funds for the fight against malaria. more
