Final Frame Post, a New York City based post production service provider announced that it provided the digital intermediate services for “Peter and Vandy,” a feature written and directed by Jay DiPeitro and based on his award-winning play. Peter and Vandy is about a young New York couple’s relationship that unfolds in a non-linear fashion and told in non-chronological order. It opened in limited release on Friday, October 9, 2009.


Will Cox, Final Frame Post co-founder and colorist, conformed, graded and digitally color corrected the material on their Digital Vision Nucoda Film Master system and Rising Sun Research’s CineSpace for color management. Quantel has just released a new version of software for its eQ, iQ and Pablo systems which, among a number of other useful new features, also includes support for the RED Rocket accelerator board. Set up by Audrey Bourdiol, FlyingS3D benefits from her many years of experience in the post and DI production facilities business. “The Pablo was the natural choice for us because as well as being a fine color correction system, it also offers full conforming, editing, compositing, effects, versioning and deliverables within a single system,” says Audrey Bourdiol. “That makes it a natural hub for our workflow, avoiding the time and cost wasted in moving material around between two or more systems for most of the work we need to do.” more
