T.A.G.’s Zune Campaign Features Custom Animated Spot from Stardust on New York’s Times Square “Geoffreytron” Billboard

zunecomp.jpgHOLLYWOOD and NEW YORK — Bicoastal creative production company Stardust Studios recently produced a dynamic :15 video installation piece for a Zune account creative team from newly established shop, T.A.G., San Francisco, which included group creative directors Scott Duchon and Geoff Edwards, art director Rey Andrade, copywriter Joe Rose, director of broadcast production Jan O’Malley and agency producer Lee Anne Weldon. The finished piece entitled “Zune Tron” ran on the famous 20-foot LED “GeoffreyTron” video billboard located above Toys”R”Us in New York City’s Times Square throughout the recent holiday season, and Stardust’s artwork created for the project has also been used in the agency’s campaign print and online banner ads. more

Guerilla FX Animates Four and Edits One Checkers/Rally’s Spots

For Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc., the largest chain of double drive-thru restaurants in the United States and parent company of both the Checkers® and Rally’s® concepts, Guerilla FX has completed the 3D animation on a series of four :30 spots, “Toaster,” “Big on Chicken,” and “Lasso” and “Dollar Sign” (for which they also executed the editorial assignment). Developed through ML Rogers Agency (New York, NY), the commercials air on spot TV in up to 30 markets. “Toaster,” “Big on Chicken” and “Lasso” began airing November 19th and “Dollar Sign” will begin its run December 31st. more

SMOKE AND MIRRORS KNOCKS IT DOWN FOR SIRIUS

The Brief:
The effects team at Smoke and Mirrors New York creates a large scale dominoes game for the new Sirius Stiletto 2 MP3 player. Instead of the normal game pieces, we see music players throughout history toppling over one another in an elaborate set-up. The sequence of cascading cadence players moves from tapes to 8 tracks to CDs to a juke box and finally to a whole mess of iPod’s. The culmination comes when every inferior player seems to bow down as they fall at the base of Sirius’ Stiletto 2, which remains steadfast in its superiority. more
