HBO Archives®, which launched in 2002, announces that the complete 26 episodes of The March of Time’s awarding winning series, “Crusade in the Pacific,” have been restored, cataloged and transferred to HD and are now available for footage clip licensing.  The March of Time is the groundbreaking newsreel and documentary series produced by Time Inc. from 1935 to 1967. 
“Crusade in the Pacific” was produced for television and was nationally syndicated in 1951. The series used footage shot by The March of Time cameramen to recount events in the Pacific from the 1931 Japanese seizure of Manchuria through the Korean War.
“The restoration project is timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor invasion,” explains Barbara Thomas, Senior Vice President, HBO Sports®. “Thankfully we had well-preserved, original 35mm film to work with. All 26 programs have been converted to High Definition Video.  This series is priceless for all of today’s storytellers.”
      Since re-introducing the March of Time in 2007, HBO Archives has been busy cataloging, restoring, and transferring the original theatrical newsreels. “The March of Time was much more than monthly newsreels,” adds Thomas.  “The March of Time produced a number of feature-length films and with the advent of the television era, produced entertainment and political programs specifically for TV.  The March of Time production teams were also commissioned to produce a wide variety of government and corporate-sponsored commercial films.  HBO Archives is excited to begin showcasing the depth of the collection with the Crusade in the Pacific mini-series.”
           Clips from select episodes of the “Crusade in the Pacific” mini-series are now online for instant access to researchers. Other March of Time productions, ranging from the 1930s to the 1960s, are also currently available online and feature such diverse topics as political election maneuvering, teenage girls, the football business, the oil and tobacco industries, Mormonism and iconic American cities like New Orleans.

The 3D Bullet Rig makes handheld 3D filming effortless and smooth by transferring the weight to your waist and shoulder. Each 3D rig includes a spring-loaded suspension rod, comfortable weight displacement belt and adjustable, padded shoulder mount. The result is hours of mobile, handheld 3D filming capability. The light-weight, mirror box housing is constructed using space-age foam core plastic that’s durable, corrosion-free and substantially cooler than a metal matte box. This ensures your beam-splitter glass with its expensive coatings will stay cool on hot days. The rig itself is hand-milled employing a nearly indestructible aluminium alloy frame.

Perfect for traveling light, the entire 3D Bullet Rig is ingenuously designed to set-up and break down in a matter of minutes, packing into a small, water-tight pelican case.
